Background
This portal was build through SYNTHESYS funding on BioCASE technology. The search is running locally on a cache containing only European records, but links for the final details through to the original data provider.
This portal is meant to be a demonstrator for the new BioCASE 2/Synthesys portal currently being developed. It is accessing the data via PyWrapper generated XML and is therefore very slow. The final portal will make use of the cache database directly and performance is expected to increase by magnitudes.
