The German Virtual Herbarium (GVH) provides access to digitised information obtained from the collections held in German herbaria.

Germany’s herbaria house over 15 million specimens of vascular plants, bryophytes and macroalgae. The collecting data stored with these specimens provides important information on the distribution of the flora of Germany as well as other parts of the world.
